Barletta Applauds President’s Efforts to Fix Broken Tax Code
HAZLETON – Today, Congressman Lou Barletta applauded President Donald Trump’s remarks in Springfield, Missouri, during which the president spoke about his plan to implement a sweeping overhaul of the broken federal tax code.
“It’s been 31 years since the last major tax reform, and, for far too long, American workers and families have been forgotten and dragged down by dismal economic growth,” said Barletta. “The American people need a simpler and less cumbersome tax code, one that lowers rates, simplifies deductions, and puts hardworking taxpayers ahead of special interest groups. I commend President Trump for spearheading meaningful reform that will bring back jobs, grow our economy, and, most importantly, put money back in the pockets of taxpayers.”
