Barletta Statement on Labor Day 2018
WASHINGTON – Congressman Lou Barletta (PA-11) today issued the following statement regarding Labor Day, Monday, September 3, 2018:
“To many Americans, Labor Day means a final celebration at the end of summer, children going back to school, the start of football season, or the unofficial beginning of fall. However, the weekend is truly in honor of the working men and women who have made this nation what it is today.
“From the coal miners who fueled America’s emergence during the Industrial Revolution, to the leaders in steel, manufacturing, business, heath care, and technology, Pennsylvanians have been doing the work that continues to pace the U.S. economy. On this Labor Day, and every day, I salute the working men and women who make our communities and our nation strong.”
