Barletta Statement Regarding Memorial Day 2018
WASHINGTON – Congressman Lou Barletta (PA-11) today issued the following statement regarding Memorial Day 2018, which falls on Monday, May 28, 2018:
“This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country and the freedoms we hold so dear. Without their sacrifice, we would not enjoy a country where our rights are protected or benefit from personal liberties that are still not recognized in many parts of the world. Let us give thanks to those who laid down their lives so that we could live ours in freedom in the greatest nation the world has ever known.
“As we honor these heroes, we must also recognize there is still much to be done on behalf of our nation’s veterans. I remain dedicated to making sure we provide them with the support and care they deserve and have earned.”
