U.S. Rep. Barletta holds teletown hall meeting Wednesday evening
WASHINGTON – U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, PA-11, held his seventh public “Home to House” public forum and his second teletown hall meeting Wednesday evening from his office on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
“There are many very important issues going on in Congress right now, and I wanted to make sure my constituents were informed about some of the topics we’ve been discussing this week, including the balanced budget amendment and the 23 pro-jobs bills that have been passed by the House that are sitting in the U.S. Senate as we speak,” Rep. Barletta said. “I pledged that I would keep my constituents informed about the work I’m doing in Washington, and Wednesday evening’s forum was a great opportunity to reach thousands of them at one time.”
During the teletown hall meeting’s peak, about 5,000 11th District residents participated. Constituents were able to ask questions and get answers directly from Rep. Barletta.
Since he took office in January, Rep. Barletta has held five public Home to House meetings in the district, two teletown hall meetings, ten roundtable discussions, and numerous other public events in places ranging from school campuses to senior citizen centers.
